The Chemistry Regents
Where you stand
The next Physical Science: Chemistry exam is on Tuesday, January 26, 2027, 96 days from today.
Taking the legacy Physical Setting/Chemistry exam instead? These counts come from the new exam's papers. The legacy exam covers much of the same chemistry, weighted differently, and some topics New York took off the new exam, like naming organic compounds.

How this is counted
We count a question as started once you’ve answered it or your check answers covered it. We count it as shown on later days once you’ve answered it right, then right again on later days, and your latest answer is right. We count each part’s questions on the two full exams the New York State Education Department (NYSED) has released so far, the June and August 2026 papers. We split the exam into the parts our modules teach. A part isn’t one of the exam’s six domains, the areas NYSED gives a share of the exam, so a part’s count can fall outside a domain’s range. We update the counts after each exam.
