How it bonds
Bismuth is the heaviest non-radioactive element (technically very slightly radioactive but with a half-life ten billion times the age of the universe). +3 is far more common than +5 (inert-pair effect). Bismuth subsalicylate is the active ingredient in Pepto-Bismol.
