How dangerous is it?
A colorless, non-toxic noble gas that does not react or burn. Its only caution is that, like any gas, it can crowd out air in a sealed room.

In a sealed space krypton can displace air and leave too little oxygen to breathe. (only a risk in a confined, unventilated space)
It is used with ventilation so oxygen is never crowded out; in open air it is harmless.
How it bonds
Krypton's outer shell is full, but unlike helium and neon it can be coaxed (under harsh conditions) into a single known compound, KrF₂. For all high-school purposes: krypton doesn't bond.
